Did You Know?
The National Weather Service issues approximately 1.5 million forecasts and 50,000 severe weather warnings every year. Doppler radar, deployed nationwide in the 1990s, has dramatically improved our ability to detect tornadoes — sometimes giving warning of more than thirteen minutes before they touch down.
